The Inn was built in 1970 when the Sonny Paddock famiy operated it as The Bedspread. They sold their cattle spread in Dillon, MT and entered the hospitality industry. It has changed names over the year as well as owners. The main lodge has ranch brands from Beaverhead County and nearby Madison County. The bar is a late 19th century Brunswick Bar. The story is that it is one of several bars from Bannack.
